Introduction

As a linear scanner the Honeywell 3200 provides your customers with an introduction into imager technology at an excellent price/performance ratio. As opposed to laser scanners, imager scanners read bar codes using a camera line, rather than a laser optic. This makes the device especially robust, since the scanner has no moveable parts inside (oscillating mirror, etc.). This durability is especially impressive in standardised tests in which the scanner withstands being dropped 25 times onto concrete from a height of 1.2 meters. The housing as well as the trigger are designed in such a way that both right and left-handed users can comfortably use the scanner. Due to the lighter weight even longer use is non-fatiguing for the user.

Along with its excellent durability, the imager technology also provides your customers with additional advantages in ergonomics and reading rates, with which Honeywell 3200 markedly improves the efficiency of employees when scanning. A scanning range of 0.5 to 25 cm guarantees intuitive scanning without delay for all users and all applications. The camera line reads the bar code as an entire image, so that immediate recognition of the targeted code is also ensured for untrained or impatient personnel. The integrated decoder recognizes the bar code within a split second and converts it into useful information for the connected PC or cash register system.

The scanner is connected alternatively via the USB, keyboard or RS232 interface. Your customer has particular flexibility due to the multi-interface of the scanner, which is simply adjusted to the corresponding type of connection. The corresponding cables can be easily exchanged later and are, of course, available separately.

The combination of robustness, fast and secure scanning, as well as field-tested housing design makes the 3200 from Honeywell the ideal scanner for all common bar code applications, such as at the cashier, in the laboratory, in the office or in the workshop. Its attractive price makes the choice for many customers even easier. The scanners are available in white or black to match the needs of these areas of application. An optional scanner stand provides for freehanded scanning from two positions.
