Introduction

With the Symbol MC909X MDE terminals from Motorola we offer you a series of wireless terminals that are available in a large variety of configurations, thereby reacting with particular flexibility to meet the needs of your customers. The Symbol MC9000 is equipped with the most up-to-date mobile technology, supporting even the most complex business applications, in order to create permanent and high-quality data connections with applications vital for business and systems throughout the entire supply chain. Thus it enables your outdoor staff to collect and access vital real-time business data, and to cost-efficiently communicate with colleagues and business partners.

The MC909X terminals from Motorola are equipped with a 624MHz Intel XScale processor that meets all of the mobile requirements of a high-value MDE terminal, as well as with a robust and durable memory and multiple up-to-date options for data collection. You can choose between the two most durable operating systems of Microsoft: the MC909X model equipped with Windows Mobile 5.0 has 64MB/128MB RAM/ROM; with the adjustable and custom designed Windows CE 5.0 platform, the system impresses with its standard 64MB/64MB RAM/ROM. All the other models are optionally available at anytime with other specifications and are expandable via the integrated SD-/MMC-slots.

The systems can be connected using the integrated Wi-Fi or Bluetooth interfaces, with which the user also communicates via VoIP or Audio Voice BT. Your customers can optionally acquire either the MC9094 version or GPRS. Due to the Symbol Mobility Services Platform (MSP), all MC9000 models can quickly and easily be accessed and supported from a central location.

Image capture and the ability to scan bar codes from distances of 10 to 12 cm is performed with one single Motorola MDE device. Thus, a standard range laser scanner and a long range version, as well as a 1D and 2D version for omnidirectional scanning, are available to your customers. Due to improved energy management the battery service life lasts the entire work shift. The modular keyboard of 28 to 53 keys and the durable touch screen are easily readable indoors as well as outdoors, ensuring easy operability and the highest comfort. In order to react to particular individual requirements of your customers, you can acquire the 9.5cm (3.8'') screen either as a colour or monochrome display with a particularly high contrast (only Windows CE version).

Due to its robust design the system even endures use in difficult work and environmental conditions. Therefore, the devices of the MC909X series are ideal for use in production halls and warehouses, loading zones, vehicle fleets, pay-offices and sales rooms. As mobile terminals are exposed to particularly heavy workloads in these areas of application, we naturally offer you an elaborate programme of services and warranty agreements from Motorola. These additional services make it easy for you as a dealer to maintain these systems with your customers and keep them up-to-date. They protect your customers´ investments, thus ensuring maximum operating performance.

In addition to a large variety of standard version configurations, you can also acquire the devices of the MC909X series with the pre-installed pistol grip. The Symbol MC9090G characterises the pistol version, which guarantees a particularly ergonomic MDE operation. The short version of the MC9090-S is smaller in size and lighter than the other versions, as the keyboard is equipped with fewer keys. Motorola also has an RFID configuration ready for you: the MC9090-G is compatible with RFID, supporting EPC Gen 2 (DRM), US-American APAC frequencies and the European standard ETSI EN 302 208. Therefore, these versatile Symbol MDE terminals do not only convince with their top performance and top equipped models, but they can also be used intercontinentally for your customers' applications at any time.
